case in point. Paul Ryan said he grew up on Ayn Rand. his budget plan is based on her ideology of greed and self-centered motivation yet he said the plan is based on Catholic tenets. the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops disagree with Ryan on his plan being based on Catholic tenets.
The party has both. Just as you do
I tend to think the Republican party might appeal to a wide range of people from different perspectives that are just tired of the unemployment at 8%+. You don’t have to be rich or love riches to want to pay your bills and to want a simple job.
I’m guessing you read the same pinko commie liberal news sites that I do.
The irksome part of the whole thing is that the world we’re living in right now is the one that the GOP began creating during Nixon’s first administration, and really got rolling during RayGun’s. We’re now warring on drugs and tough on crime, cutting taxes/extending tax cuts for “the job creators” who hire only when they absolutely must and prefer to hire overseas, cutting social spending at a time when it’s like conserving water by allowing your house to burn, waging wars to secure petroleum reserves primarily because RayGun put the kabosh to energy conservation and alternative energy expansion programs, and so on, and so on. Seeing that none of this works, the GOP redoubles its commitment to the same kinds of policies that got us into this mess in the first place.
It’s really too bad that Ayn “skankzilla” Rand isn’t alive to see where her fantasies got us.
They think they are Christians, but only point to the OT, ignoring all of the NT, the part where Christ enters the scene.
