Those of us who've been around for awhile remember the Loborn fiasco from last year.
What I believe was the straw that broke the camel's back on what finally got Loborn (aka Curtis, now aka PrisonerxofxLove) was his responding to rational arguments by accusing people (namely, me) of child and animal rape. Now he's back (I assume he picked up Internet for Dummies and found out how to get around an IP block?) and has wizened up just enough that he no longer comes right out and says that I rape children, but merely insinuates it. Worse, he insinuates it with a very specific child who I care about greatly and would never, ever harm.
It's bad enough that this person trolls Xanga non-stop, but he does so all the while telling liberals that they hate gays (while also claiming that promoting equal rights for gays is just us wanting to promote illicit man-on-man anal rape), telling any Christian that disagrees with a single one of his ideas that they are actually an atheist, and claiming that all atheists love genocide.
So tell me, at what point does the Xanga Team step in and say "hey, maybe this person gives Xanga a bad name, and considering he trolls
pretty much every page on this website might not be the best thing to keep this community, already on the decline, from falling into just a complete pit of despair. I know others like Celestial Teapot and Summer that got booted from the site for far less.
On a personal note, now I have to make a personal decision as to whether or not to block him. I know if I do, that act in itself will lower my blood pressure and save my wall from me putting my head through it out of sheer anger at his bigotry and dumbfuckery. But if I do block him, he gets to play the martyr card, and I'll also never be notified when he responds to one of my comments.

I blocked her.. er.. him... er... it for irrationalization, language, and attacking my readers. Not sure how much good it does, but it's less crap to deal with. I don't like blocking folks, but if they're only there to act like idiots and garner attention and not engage in intelligent debate, they're gone.
I have no idea what was finally done to get it blocked or what Summer or Teapot did to get blocked. (Maybe they're all one in the same? lol) But basically, just read through the terms of service. Those things are always written so they can ban anyone for any reason lol.
To accuse (or even insinuate) that you do inappropriate things with children is the lowest of the low. He may find hinself blocked from my page again for that.
Haha. Curtis blocked me on his older name (Legions) for calling him a troll. XD Oddly enough, he never really messed with me when he was pretending to be a chick.
My thoughts on it are kind of like this....Curtis is obviously very emotionally invested in his ignorance; people like Curtis also enjoy the attention they're getting from this bullshit. What he doesn't like is when he tries to lure someone in to having a "discussion" with them and they don't take the bait...or they don't react like he wants them to. People like Curtis are all over the internet; hiding behind a computer spouting their "principles", and then making ridiculous statements and even threats when they can't win an argument logically. I don't have him blocked. I haven't blocked anyone in all of the years I've been on Xanga (this is just my preference)...however...
I can understand how pissed it must be for you to have to read comments when he accuses you of hurting kids...especially her. That's incredibly low and inhumane.
Overall, I guess my point is Curtis will always be a martyr. He will always want/need to be the victim in some particular situation. I say do what is good for your blood pressure. All that finally blocking him will mean is that you realize he's going to say what he's going to say...if he's not doing this with you, it'll be anyone else who doesn't buy his bullshit.
Even without all that, he's been spouting the same nonsense since I've been on here, which I guess isn't reason enough in itself, but it is incredibly old, unconvincing, and sad. He should be gone for these comments, though.
I block it, and when I discover a new persona I block that one preemptively. His right to speech does not imply an obligation on anyone's part to receive or propagate his hateful spew.
i believe it was shortly before you returned that curtis was running around under another name. a bunch of us called him out on it. i don't know if Xanga blocked that account too but it seemed to have disappeared just as his present one appeared. i would block him. it would also spare your readers from being constantly attacked. there are probably people who won't even comment when they see him spewing on a blog so as not to be targeted by his poison.
i blocked another troll a long time ago, SKANLYN. there are a few i suspect him of being including curtis. i've returned to reply to comments on two occasions and by dumb luck saw him telling people i agree with female bloggers only because i'm trying to get into their pants. there are enough people who know me and who know him that i'm confident they know who is the asshole.

I can cope with Loborn just fine, ONLY when I know it's him. When I know it's him, it's impossible for me to take it seriously and it doesn't get to me.
I should assume everyone is him, this has just occurred to me.
@loner_writer - I don't know about removing someone from xanga for CONTENT of their comments, it's more about BASHING through after you've been blocked. I witnessed a conversation from John directed at a couple of people and it was clear to me that was what his concern was. In other words, if you get blocked SUCK IT UP and don't keep pinging at the person under one name or another (not YOU of course, you're a nice guy all the time when I see you). - But eg, I think of one blogger who had to be blocked 20 times on the same blog of mine, and no attempt was even made to disguise the identity. That leaves me with a trail of proof of harassment type trolling. It's right there on my blocked list.
That's the kind of flogging incessent harassment that will get an IP block happening.
i wish xanga would keep on top of curtis and kick him as many times as need be. the whole freedom of speech argument in his case is bogus. all he does is try to hurt people verbally. also, it might be considered by some an infringement on freedom of speech but yelling "FIRE!" in a movie theater when there is no fire will get you thrown in jail.
I had my IP blocked when I created a site and I said one thing against LoBorn. I was blocked less than 12 hours after saying that. Someone explained that the person behind that LoBorn account actually spent money to buy Lifetime or Premium service so Xanga dragged their feet in banishing him.
Block him because you know he's a piece of shit. It's that simple. There's not martyrdom here. He can whine about it all he wants. You don't like him, so you don't want him on your site. It's that simple.
@grim_truth - Yep. The TOS for most sites is written to give the site owners and/or managers maximum flexibility in making decisions. Sometimes that power is used responsibly, sometimes not.
And it really is harder for any business to justify getting rid of a paying customer, or a customer who generates more views on the pages they make ad money from, which is something that user certainly does.

Since I went on Friends Lock, I have had peace and quiet. I don't really know how some people seem to get away with always being on the attack. It is OK I guess, but I don't enjoy fantasy controversy.
I agree with @bryangoodrich. Sure, the whiny fuckbag will play the martyr card, but he'll be playing it to a largely unsympathetic audience. I only know of two people on this site that actually support him, so who gives a shit if he gripes? If he didn't act like an asswipe he wouldn't get treated like one. He only brings up the child rape thing because he knows of no other way to make you twitch. In that way, he is no different than the fundy stalker I had who said horrible things about my childrens' disability because he knew it was the only way he could hurt me.
Block him and don't even worry about it. It feels good, man. Seriously.

On one hand I would love to live in a world without loborn in it. On the other hand one thing I respect about xanga is their tolerance. I had 2 or 3 myspace accounts deleted with no explanation (probably due to pictures in my profile satryical of religion/politics). I don't have to worry about having my xanga deleted because some mod doesn't agree with my political or religious views.
If that door didn't swing both ways though and apply to people whose views are as repugnant as some people think mine are, then it would just be the illusion of tolerance.
I do think however that loborn crossed the line and deserved to be banned. If I recall he was posting pictures of people and bashing them, including calling your girlfriend your vaginal receptacle or something disgusting along those lines (I can't remember what it was). There were equally disgusting and personal attacks for other people for petty shit like being old.
If anything though I think people like loborn and nidan (and his various fake accounts) should be deleted not for voicing repugnant views, but for pretending to be people they aren't, voicing exact opposite views just to stir up shit, and spamming top blogs by accumulating fake recs from sockpuppet accounts.
They should ban him completely. He's been proven to be an identity thief, a liar, a scumbag, and a bigot.

You're not going to win any converts by arguing with him, and it's just going to raise your blood pressure when he attacks (you or your friends) with these insinuations. I didn't know he was accusing you of child rape. That's almost as low as actually engaging in child rape. Sad thing is, one could occasionally have a normal conversation with Loborn (provided you didn't bring up things like religion, gay rights, or any form of politics). The later incarnations seem to have abandoned this charade of humanity. :P
