I've been writing a book for awhile now, but I've been hitting some serious writer's block challenges. Any of you think that Xanga still has a place for me that I won't hate, that will foster my creative writing spirit? Or will it just sink me down into the shallows of despair?
And to make this post hit the front page, here's an adorable animal picture:

HE'S ALIVE! THE LEGENDS ARE TRUE
You should get the Creative Fire by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. It is an audiobook and I think it is something every creative person should listen to.
Welcome back. I'd love to read your writing :)
welcome back :) we miss you.
personally it's never fostered my creative anything but knock yourself out. good to see you rejoin the "nothing better to do at the moment than post and comment on Xanga crowd" though.
i hope that got your juices flowing. :P
lawwwwwl I like that meme
FRONT PAGE HERE YOU COME
it can't hurt to try. writing on xanga has made me feel more creative.
Writer's block usually means that you have idea, vision, image, feeling or whatever that you want to write about, or make the theme of a story, and the words don't come, so the idea won't flesh out into a manuscript, and you end up staring at the blank page in despair.
In that case, don't write the story, but write about how you feel about the idea, and how you might write it into a story, book, whatever. Miraculously, this tends to turn into the story.
I always wondered why zoos put ostridges with the zebra. I went to our zoo and laughed so hard watching the ostridge chase the zebras around.
This might help. I've tried tackling the writers block thing a few times, and in the end the answer is always much the same: put words on paper, then fiddle 'em about till you're happy.

*screams like a teenage biyatch* KRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESKO!
Welcome back.
I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT BUTTER!!!
Man, I'm not going to recommend xanga, nor am I going to tell anyone to completely avoid it. I'm kind of "meh" about it. Give it a shot, I guess.
I'd like to see you come back but Xanga is the same as it always has been and probably always will be. Nobody has been able to fill the spot you had on here. Give it another try and see what happens.
he liiiiiiiives!
I don't think Xanga will cure your writer's block--it hasn't helped mine, in fact, I've used it as an excuse NOT to write! Recently, I read a statement that I think is wonderfully helpful: "Before anything good is written, something bad has to be written." I'm trying to accept that my first draft will be bad and then I can fix it!
*waves*
:)
Probably despair.
What @randaness said. But don't let it stop you from trying. There's always a chance.
I came for the zebra butt
So, why would Xanga bring you down without you being a part in that... I think you SHOULD come back. But understand that, if you are going to engage in debates you have tons of less than brilliant people here that will hit below the belt, troll you, spam you, flag you, etc...
It would be great to have you back as far as I'm concerned... I never had a problem with you, except of course when I did
... That's just me though, I'm a big grumpy ogre. LOL... Anyway, welcome back if you're coming back. Good to see you again.
