I asked my pediatrician, who said that there was no link and not to worry. She said, “That Jenny McCarthy is obviously a devoted mother, but she’s not a medical doctor, biomedical researcher or scientist’. Ladybug got all her shots. Admittedly, I did make the pediatrician space them out a few weeks apart, instead of delivering them ALL in one session. I thought that was too much, all at once. Plus, Ladybug had such fat little baby thighs, I felt bad for her & didn’t want her getting so many shots at once.
I dunno . . . Jenny McCarthy seems to think otherwise. She seems pretty healthy. I trust her over the insidious peer-review process that probably lied to create those figures. I mean, they have an incentive to lie for grant funding. Plus, it’s a well-established fact that vaccines are a tool of the federal government to spread atheist germs as part of their scheme to create the New World Order.

The ones who scare me are the anti-vaccine crowd. The whole “link” has been disproved over and over. The doctor who suggested it was found to be a fraud…and still the myth persists. I would be more likely to blame the increasing numbers of autism cases on artificial sweeteners like NutraSweet, which are known to have neurological effects on people who use them, then vaccines. When I was pregnant with my daughter (nearly 21 years ago) my OB-GYN made me sign a document to NOT USE any artificial sweeteners while I was pregnant. I also have noted that the “spike” in autism can also be traced to release and popularity of nutrasweet. I stopped using it not long after it was launched—it gave me blinding headaches behind my eyes, usually within minutes of consuming it. But most pregnant women I knew swigged it down daily—rather than risk the weight gain. Once their kids were born, they fed it to their kids…rather than sugar. When I asked some class moms to not give my daughter food or beverages made with it, they got VERY pissed off. Later it showed up in so many sources…even children’s cold remedies, tyenol. etc had it in it.
Like I said…I find that a much more likely source, in utero, and out…

I had close friends who were crippled for life. I was a parent of young children in the 1950s and I remember the dread of childhood diseases, particularly polio. When vaccines were developed, I rejoiced. Now, I see parents turn down vaccine and I’m horrified. They never lived before the vaccines and don’t know what it was like then. Yes, I have a grandson who is very autistic and the diagnosis was made AFTER he was vaccinated. However, it had nothing to do with vaccines – that’s the “Post Hoc ergo Proctor Hoc” fallacy. If you look at movies taken before he was vaccinated, you can see the signs of Autism. – The Geezer
I think we’re just lucky the small percentage of people who don’t vaccinate aren’t able to make the people who vaccinate sick.
Its not that I’m against shooting up but I do think the frequency is outrageous. I don’t think our immune systems are retarded and most of us don’t need them as often as doctors suggest. Its not so bad in the human world (except with flu imo) but it is terrible in the animal world.

Co relations don’t prove anything…except that someone can do algebra and draw a graph. I do think the frequency of shooting up little kids is part of the blame, not the shot themselves. A 3 minute old baby has practically no immune system. Shooting them up won’t jump start it nearly as much as simple breast milk. This is also the same reason why you shouldn’t vaccinate someone that is sick. It only hurts the system more. I found that I have bad reactions to the flu shot and started getting the flu right after getting them. When I stopped getting them, I stopped getting the flu altogether. Turns out I became resistant to most strains and my body now fights off newer strains within a day. The vaccinations just happened to overload my body which was likely fighting off something else anyway. The same thing happened to my grandpa except he is Hepatitis resistant and would just get sick (not with hep of course) after getting vaccinated. He only found out recently when they ran some blood tests on him.
@galadrial - Artificial crap is showing up EVERYWHERE. I noticed that it often gives me a funny feeling too. I drink Pepsi occasionally and I’m usually always followed by some slight pressure behind my eyes. My favorite soda is Jones (Jones Orange Cream Soda to be exact) which uses cane sugar. No pain and the taste is fantastic.

@BoulderChristina - It’s amazing that these people don’t recognize that it might be God who sent these treatments. If one thinks that the devil helps us cure illness but God relies only on faith, then their theology is all screwed up. If I yhad my choice to choose between and anti-biotic and prayer, I’d choose the anti-bioic every time. It’s like the guy who says to God “Why doin’t you ever let me win the lottery?” A voice answered out of the whirlwind “At least buy a ticket once!”

You never stop being exposed to bacteria and viruses. The flu, for example, is supposed to be shot up in us annually. Why? We never stop “driving” so to say…thus we don’t just forget.

We need to develop a comprehensive lifestyle for it. At work. At home. In the markets. Not as much a point in making the health care available, the knowledge taken as premise, if people cannot even afford the time to take care of themselves.
@BoulderChristina - Ummm. Sorry…but it DOES happen. Unimmunized kids (and adults) allow new strains to develop—and make others sick. We have a large orthodox community in Lakewood, and for whatever reason, some of the parents skipped vaccines. Result…over a 1000 cases of whopping cough. When was the last time you heard of THAT many?
There is a chain of protection established by immunization…breaking it CAN and does cause sickness in others.

i’m glad that people think the only reason people DON’T vax is because of the rumored link to autism. smh. you know there are other reasons, right???
i had my son vaxed no questions asked. when it came time to get emma her vaxes i freaked out. why? because of the reaction she had with her 3 month vaxes. preston (my oldest) never had a reaction at all, he’d cry when he got the shot and that was it…the rest of the day he’d be fine. emma though…she got her shots, we left and came home and she napped for about 3 hours. when she woke up she immediately started screaming bloody murder. it was the most terrifying screaming i’ve ever heard. it only lasted about 15-20 minutes but if you’ve ever held a baby while he/she is crying like that then you know that it feels like eternity. i was frightened. i did research that only frightened me more. i read the ingredient list of each vaccination and i looked up the ingredients. i went into the pedi’s office 3 months later for her 6 month shots and i was so scared that i just started bawling right there in the room. i ended up getting her vaccinated anyways. do i believe vaccinations can cause death? yes i do. infants take on a lot of vaccinations at such a premature age. that’s a lot of big stuff going into such a little body that’s still not all the way developed. i believe, just like with medications, that every body will react differently. i believe some little bodies can’t handle it. i believe it can cause seizures (as listed on the sheet given before your baby receives the shot) and long term damage. but i also believe that the diseases can cause death and long term damage as well, and that it’s probably more likely. it’s a double edged sword and i understand both sides.
Yeah definitely submit this to Autisable. They might not publish it but who cares.
Just more evidence that we need to invest more in PREVENTATIVE health care, in our country and worldwide.
